Wikithon (विकिथोन)

Wikipedia world's leading opensource online encyclopedia has been serving the world with its content. Many students, educators and researchers have been benefited with it. The coolest side of Wikipedia is anyone can readily edit it. With many editors worldwide and help of experts in the field the information it delivers are much accurate than anyother encyclopedia.

So, during October 2011 Wikimedia Foundation, Nepal is organizing Wikithon.

What is Wikithon?

Wikithon is a event in which people sit together and contribute articles to Wikipedia.

Why ?

Many Nepalese though literate can't read English well so in order to localize Wikipedia this program has been organized.

Who ?

Anyone familiar with Nepali language and culture (as the articles has to be in Nepali) living within or outside Nepal.

What will I get?

Best Contributor will be awarded a cash prize of NPR 5,000/-
