One of the world's most prominent Computer Scientist Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie passed away yesterday on October 12. He is notable for developing C, a programming language and operating systems like Multics and Unix.
He has received several awards during his lifetime which includes the Turing Award in 1983, which is known as the Nobel Prize in the field of Computer Science.
He is a pioneer for many people, especially one who is involved in the field of Computing.
